Hacker-Pschorr Weisse Tasting Event at Cactus “Best of the Best”

Informal, Educational Sampling with Certified Cicerone

Thursday, April 19
5-7 p.m.

Hacker-Pschorr’s flagship style beer, the uniquely complex Weisse, will be featured at a complimentary tasting event at Cactus. Certified Cicerone Steve Carnes will lead the sampling event on Thursday, April 19 from 5-7 p.m. Each participant will receive an official Hacker-Pschorr Weisse glass with the purchase of a Weisse ($5) and a raffle will be held for a Hacker-Pschorr patio umbrella.

Carnes will discuss the history of the Munich, Germany-based brewery. Hacker-Pschorr can be traced back as far as 1417, 99 years before the enactment of the Rheinheitsgebot Puity Law of 1516. The brewing process has remained virtually unchanged for over 580 years – as they like to say, something this good just isn’t fooled with. Carnes will also talk about the Weisse brew being medium-bodied and traditionally cloudy with a light, fluffy head and flavors of banana and clove.
